Keke Palmer has been granted full custody of her eight-month-old son, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, and a restraining order against her ex-partner, Darius Jackson, according to court records obtained by RadarOnline. The order mandates that Jackson must maintain a distance of 100 yards from the singer and actor.
Furthermore, Jackson is prohibited from having any contact with their son. A court hearing is scheduled for December in Los Angeles to determine if the temporary restraining order will be made permanent.
In the court case, Palmer recounts that she ended her two-year relationship with Jackson in October. A month later, Jackson unexpectedly appeared at her residence, insisting on taking their son to a football game. When Palmer refused, she alleges that Jackson became verbally abusive and physically assaulted her. Security camera footage documenting the incident was submitted as evidence in her request for a protection order.
Palmer details another incident in early 2022 where Jackson allegedly assaulted her in their bedroom. She describes being thrown to the floor and having her head slapped from side to side. Subsequently, Jackson reportedly grabbed her by the neck and threw her back up the stairs the next morning.
The filing also highlights emotional abuse, with Palmer expressing concern about Jackson’s jealousy and insecurity during their relationship. She notes that his jealousy escalated when he became envious of the time she spent with their son.
Disturbingly, it is claimed that Jackson physically harmed their baby son when he couldn’t stop crying. Palmer intervened to prevent further harm, describing a tense situation where she held the baby while Jackson allegedly hit her in the head during the altercation.
The court’s decision to grant Keke Palmer full custody and a restraining order reflects the gravity of the alleged abuse, as documented in the court records. The upcoming hearing in December will determine the permanency of the restraining order and further address the legal aspects of their tumultuous relationship.
