SPECIAL BOND EMERGES BETWEEN TWO-YEAR-OLD AND CAT WITH MISSING LIMBS

A three-pawed kitty found a special connection with a two-year-old girl named Scarlett, who also has one hand. Scarlett, a brave girl battling cancer, lost her left arm.

Her parents, eager for her to have a feline friend and companion who shared a similar physical characteristic, spent six months searching for a cat with three paws.

On Christmas Eve, their wish came true when they learned about a three-month-old kitten named Doc, who had recently undergone surgery to remove a paw. Inspired by the news story, Scarlett’s family decided to adopt Doc and visited the animal shelter where he was staying.

When Scarlett met Doc, she was visibly concerned, much like her dad described. As a cat enthusiast, Scarlett noticed that Doc had braces, just like her. Gently touching the cat’s braces, Scarlett nodded in understanding, conveying a unique connection between them. This moment confirmed to her parents that Doc was the perfect pet for Scarlett, as she recognized the shared challenges they both faced.

Doc quickly adapted to his new home and proved to be an active and resilient companion, despite his physical limitations. Described as soft and fond of lying on Scarlett’s knees, Doc became an integral part of Scarlett’s life, offering comfort and companionship in their shared journey.
