Melania Trump, alongside President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, is poised to become the First Lady.
The world had a challenging time processing Donald Trump’s victory in the 2016 US presidential election. However, it became even more intriguing when it was revealed that the 46-year-old former model Melania Trump would assume the role of First Lady.
This marks the first instance in two centuries that a foreign-born woman will hold the position of First Lady in the United States.
Born in 1970 in communist Yugoslavia, Melania was the daughter of Viktor Knavs, a car and motorcycle dealer, and a member of the Slovenian Communist Party, and Amalija Knavs.
Melania’s striking beauty propelled her into a career in modeling. She embarked on her modeling journey at the young age of 16, and within two years, she had signed with a modeling agency in Milan.
Melania worked with some of the most prestigious fashion houses in Milan, Italy, before eventually relocating to New York.
